Working in a granary

A granary has low ceilings. It is built to store grain, and being able to stand upright is not one of the main priorities. The openings in the fa├žade are there for ventilation, not to provide daylight. To make this into suitable office space, an elevator, stair wells and toilets were added. Extra daylight floods in through the roof and height was added through mezzanines. The shutters are now always open.
